A Canadian robot design house recently launched a crowd-founding campaign on its new quadcopter model, PlexiDrone. The product, developed with outdoor enthusiasts’ photography needs in mind, prides itself on the ultra-portable, tool-less easy assembly design.
From clipping on the fly films to changing different cameras, the model claims that it can be snapped together under 1 minute and ready to fly. Along with a retractable landing gear design, the clipped-on cameras are capable of 360 degrees rotation, making an unobstructed aerial view possible.
Furthermore, it doesn’t require an extra controller. The user simply needs to download a GPS-equpped App to their own smartphone or tablet, and the drone will follow their steps in the air. The user can also use the “swarm” function to control multiple drones with one mobile device.
